Who doesn’t love synth-pop? The bright colours, the sweet sounds – it all comes together for a timeless aesthetic that remains as exciting as ever. But in 2014, a year that saw Scottish independence at the top of the British agenda, the debut album from Scotland’s own Prides needed to make an equally exciting emotional impact.
Studio Juice worked with Prides to create the band’s visual identity, which included everything from logo and gig materials all the way to singles and album artwork. Their eye-grabbing circular emblem was updated and used as the band’s primary logo. For their series of singles, we used imagery of flying doves in order to tie the band’s music with a sense of elation.
Catching the attention of music fans and tastemakers throughout the world, The Way Back Up was released on July 10th through Island Records.
